Submission for a university assignment involving 3 elements. Task: make a video in the genre of a musical, with a key object of string, and the final/key line 'the most beautiful colour is love'. Awarded a 2:1.
ode to petrol station [2023]
Based off a poem I wrote last year (2022) which I'm not a massive fan of anymore, this was a spur-of-the-moment style video where I visit the petrol station the poem is based off. Text from the poem flashes all across the screen while 'Dream City' by Hype Williams plays alongside theoriginally recorded audio. Shot on a cheap secondhand digicam, the video is meant to evoke nostalgia for the time the poem is set - at the time I was working very late shifts and when I would finish the only place open would be this petrol station.
